Wednesdays -Farmer's Market April – October-SAN LEANDRO
The Downtown San Leandro Farmers Market runs from April to October, specifically from April 2nd to October 8th, 2025. It is held every Wednesday from 3 PM to 7 PM in the Main Library parking lot at 300 Estudillo Avenue. The market features up to 30 vendors, live music, and family-friendly entertainment.

For 25 years, Leadership San Leandro has hosted THE Taste of San Leandro (its flagship fundraiser) to bring together, good food, drinks, and NETWORKING.

July: San Leandro Restaurant Week
San Leandro Restaurant Week is happening from July 13-19, 2025. It's a week-long event where local restaurants offer special menus, deals, and encourage diners to explore the city's diverse culinary scene. The event is presented by the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of San Leandro.
September : OkDROberfest
OkDROberfest includes live music, games, and beer. Yes, San Leandro will be holding its annual OkDROberfest, a family-friendly event, on Saturday, September 14th, featuring live music, games, and beer, according to Downtown San Leandro. The event will be held on W. Juana Avenue and E. 14th Street. In addition to beer, there will be Bavarian bites, and family-friendly activities like face painting and balloon art. Games like giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, and cornhole will also be available.
November 1: Light Up San Leandro
Light up your storefront or building by employing lights, decorations, scenic elements, and any imaginative touches that come to mind. Get into the holiday spirit and participate in our Holiday Storefront Decorating Contest. Let’s make San Leandro shine bright this season! Decorate your storefront, doors, windows, or property fence with festive flair!

Join West Coast Makers and Downtown San Leandro for SPOOKTOBER on October 4th! Featuring Food Trucks, Vendors, a Beer Garden, Costume Contests, and a CANDYHUNT! Halloween’s getting started early in town! (this is 2024 info)

Hosted by the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, the 2024 Manufacturers’ Appreciation Event will take place at 4PM on October 4, at Drake’s Brewing (1933 Davis Street). Truth is Beauty
San Leandro Tech Campus (SLTC) - Public Arts The 55-foot steel sculpture “Truth is Beauty” just moved to her new home at the San Leandro Tech Campus from Treasure Island. SLTC is a transit-oriented multi-phase commercial mixed-use development located across from the San Leandro BART station. The Wienermobile
Kraft Foods Manufactured in San Leandro for many years.
They acquired the Oscor Meyer in 1989 and the Wienermobile ended up at the San Leandro Plant in 1998. Here is a recent story in Castro Valley talking about Kraft Sl. This unique car? Is 27 foot long and has 6 custom seats for 12 buns with A Mustard runway. It’s one of six in the world. During the depression Carl Mayer thought it would be good to spread joy with this fun mobile. And 89 years latter it’s still dishing out smiles.
Kraft Foods Plant San Leandro 1949-2026
The Kraft Foods plant in San Leandro, opened in 1949 and initially produced Maxwell House coffee and Jell-O products. Closed in 2016 as part of a larger consolidation plan following the Kraft-Heinz merger. The plant, located between Washington Avenue and BART tracks, had been a fixture in San Leandro since 1949. A business park is now being developed on the site.
